SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point designed for intervention ordeals a higher inflow of status sassa opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
